- Backset - The distance between the center of the lockset hole to the edge of the door (usually 2-3/8", 2-3/4" is available).
- Passage - Has no locking function, usually found on closets, hallway, and bedroom doors
- Privacy - Has locking function, found on bathrooms and sometimes bedrooms. This locks have a automatic unlock function on the inside knob.
- Single Dummy - Surface mounted knob or lever with rosette and surface mounting plate.
- Bore Diameter - The diameter of the hole were you thru bolt the knob or lever, usually 2-1/8".
- Handing - Split finished levers are handed. Simply open the door and push the door away from you, what side are the hinges on as you walk through the door way - Right or Left
